Dear CCI Followers,
I explained earlier that I would be in touch with you about changes occurring at CCI. I am in my 85th year and it is imperative that my workload be reduced.
We are setting up a new Board of Directors for CCI.
Fortunately, I’ve had the advantage of close relations with VIP Americans and numerous other top-end professionals who have traveled on CCI’s Russia trips since 2010. Several of them have communicated weekly and some daily at specific times. They have been a God-send to me. It’s past time for a few of them to become CCI’s new Board Members. The first two who have been loyal supporters are as follows: Paula Day and Krishen Mehta.
Their responsibilities will be established in the near future.
Paula Day is a former journalist and retired corporate lawyer who practiced in the field of international business transactions in Florida, California and Stockholm, Sweden. She is a member of the Florida, California and Maine Bar Associations and also practices as a commercial mediator/arbitrator. Paula and her husband operate an organic farm in Maine where she works with other organic farmers and non-profit organizations around the world to promote regenerative agriculture for the sake of the long-term health of planet earth.
Krishen Mehta is a former partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and served in their New York, London, and Tokyo offices. He was partner in charge of PricewaterhouseCoopers U.S. tax practice in Asia from 1989 to 2008, and lived in Japan for over 20 years. Krishen currently serves as a Senior Global Justice Fellow at Yale University, where he co-teaches a course on the subject of global trade, tax, and social justice. He traveled to Russia with CCI’s 2019 delegation, then traveled there again in 2020. Krishen is an avid watcher of all situations regarding the United States and Russia relationship.
We plan to introduce two other Board members in the next few weeks.
I will not serve on the CCI Board, but will still be involved with CCI and the Directors providing input regarding 40 years of CCI’s history and all important “how-to” information regarding cultural differences to gain trust and be accepted with our long-term partners across Russia and VIPs in the United States.
My title will be: Founder and President Emeritus.
