I received an email from Vladimir Pozner in Moscow last evening saying the 4-month lockdown in Russia is not truthful! I sent an email to Chris Weafer (in Moscow also) who is watching COVID issues in Russia more closely than anyone I know. See it below.

As you will have read, Putin has ordered the government to come up with recommendations early this coming week. We are waiting to hear what is to change. Meanwhile there are unfounded rumors circulating on all channels.
The possible explanation for the Feb 1, 4 month “lockdown” is based on an expectation (now in the Duma) that Russia will tighten the requirement for use of QR codes…to prove vaccination status..starting February 1st and “for several months” But that is not a lockdown. It is a tighter regulation to force people to get the vaccine.
We are following all this closely and will report as soon as anything is made official.
