U.S. Public Already Believes the Rumor: Ready for Sanctions

July 10, 2020

Dear CCI Followers,

Speaking of “First-Response Rumors being Powerful,” that I mentioned in my email yesterday, an additional report came out saying that the “American Public already believes that Russia gave Taliban Bounties to kill American soldiers; hence, the American public is ready to apply additional sanctions on Russia.

Reuters

Below, we have a U.S. General in Afghanistan saying that basically there is no direct evidence, except that the Taliban had a lot of cash. Yes, the Taliban has a lot of cash because they openly plant and sell millions of dollars worth of poppy seeds (for heroin production) to the world market, much of which goes to the U.S. … so, yes, they have lots of cash as a result.

Apparently Bounty-Gate isn’t over yet; well, maybe it is… but one never knows.

The top General in Afghanistan, Kenneth McKenzie, just made a pronouncement that he “doubts that a Russian Bounty Program killed U.S. Troops in Afghanistan. He says “more information is needed.”

RUMOR: Russians Pay Bounties to Kill U.S. Troops

July 9, 2020

Dear CCI Friends,

Misinformation and disinformation continues to explode across U.S. mainstream media. Does the New York Times believe Americans are so gullible that we will believe whatever they print? Yes.

Unfortunately, the first hyped-up rumor is what the average American reader will remember.

Experts opposing these rumors in less-read periodicals won’t count— the big PR damage has been done.

The article below is a case-in-point: Larry Johnson is a former CIA analyst. His article won’t be printed in the mainstream media. He will be picked up by sources with much less readership, even questionable sources, hence the original rumor will continue unabated in much of the public eye.

I don’t know Sic Semper Tyrannis or this CIA analyst, but he makes several excellent points that need to be factored into the rumor “Russians Pay Taliban Bounties to Kill US Troops”.

Is Biden “Out-Hawking” Trump on Foreign Policy?

July 7, 2020

Dear CCI Followers,

What is happening to our Democrat party regarding its shift toward demonizing Russia and China, as well as signing off on huge expenditures for the U.S. Military-Industrial Complex? What happened to Bernie’s intention toward Diplomacy and creating a world that works for all countries? Where is the evidence that we need huge defense budgets to protect ourselves from whom?

It is past time to ask the hard questions. Why is this happening? What’s behind it? We need some answers. Check out James Cardin’s piece posted in the past week.

Pondering Putin’s “75th Anniversary of WWII”

July 6, 2020

Dear CCI Friends,

First, I hope everyone had a HAPPY JULY 4th WEEKEND!!!

On to our agenda regarding WWII …

The Soviet nation lost approximately 26,000,000 people (military and civilian) in World War II, compared to the European nations and the United States, each of which had less than 500,000 fatalities. I was told in the mid-80s that for young Soviet men born in 1921, only 3% of them survived the war. In addition, the USSR’s primary territory, cities and industrial base were destroyed during the war.

Trying to understand the conflicting issues in the lead-up to WWII, I went to the Internet, not always the best source, but all that was immediately available to me. It appears that Germany was the country which the other nations most greatly feared. Different combinations of them tried without success to align with each other for their own country’s safety. Early on, Stalin tried to align with a number of these countries but was refused, likely because all were suspicious of communism, with good reason.

Putin: The Real Lessons of the 75th Anniversary of World War II

July 3, 2020

Dear CCI Friends,

On June 18, 2020, Vladimir Putin released to the world Russia’s archival understanding of the horrendous war years, the final months and the near total devastation of the Soviet Union due to World War II. Forgive me for being late getting this email to you. I have been researching these years daily on the Internet (more in a second CCI letter).

On May 8, 2020, at multiple sites in England, France, Germany, Scotland and Washington, DC, the primary allied countries that fought together in WWII held ceremonies in celebration of VE Day, the end of WWII in Europe. Russia was not invited.

Could this be why President Putin put together his definitive statement of WWII? It is Russia’s record of the sequence of war events … in addition to the fact that the USSR was the country that was critical to stopping Hitler’s war machine. I think no one denies the latter. Whether Putin has all of the history and surrounding happenings correct, I doubt; and neither may any of the other countries. All see these horrifying events from their own perspectives.
