Tulsi Gabbard is BACK! She took off a respectable amount of time to decide where she could best serve in the future, after having been kept out of the final 2020 Presidential debate.

Finishing up the last six months of her fourth Congressional term, she is in Washington asking the hard questions and proposing Bills that would clear up some of our most egregious challenges as a nation, including this one … the role of Sanctions in our national chest of ways to deal with countries who don’t wish to go along with our expectations of them. U.S. Sanctions may be needed in rare situations, but not in most circumstances with countries that labor under them today.

Mid-Year 2020 we are witnessing an all-out, flagrant demonization of Russia and China in all of America’s mainstream media! Why? Whom do they hope to influence???

Answer:
Mainstream Democrats and Republicans who have been busy with their own lives … and have paid no attention to international relations in the past. They get their news from NYT affiliates, The Washington Post and CNN. All of whom promote each other’s safe narratives.

Here we are four months away from the 2020 Presidential election and both parties just voted to allot $738,000,000,000 to fight more wars! But in truth, we in the U.S. don’t have any real enemies.

Congressional members pose Russia and China as “ENEMIES” writ large. WHY? —  to feed America’s military industrial complex’s (MIC) insistence that we need more weapons production. The MIC then provides congress members’ states with weapons manufacturing companies which feeds their states’ economies in addition to providing them with campaign contributions. It’s a quid pro quo.

Together with his fellow Democrats, Joe Biden’s playing a dangerous game of Russia-baiting that lacks any basis in fact, and could lead to a precipitous fracturing of US-Russian relations.

The Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for president has put his foot down, so to speak, when it comes to the issue of Russian interference in US elections.

“I am putting the Kremlin and other foreign governments on notice,” Biden announced in a lengthy statement. “If elected president, I will treat foreign interference in our election as an adversarial act that significantly affects the relationship between the United States and the interfering nation’s government,” he wrote.

I’ve been late to pay attention to Andrew Bacevich, former West Pointer, Colonel in the U.S. Military until he left early to get a Ph.D in U.S. Military History at Princeton. He has become outspoken on issues of War and Peace and is now the President of the new Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, a think tank dedicated to break into the issues of war and peace from 2019 forward.

Ambassador Jack Matlock suggested that I follow Quincy Institute posts, for which I’m deeply grateful. It is the only think tank I know of that is dealing with the issues I care most about … at a time when our nation is headed toward more war making after committing nearly a Trillion U.S. dollars toward a new budget for 2021.

A few days ago, a friend sent me a long, small point-sized, single-spaced, non-paragraphed, run-on paper entitled …  “The Policy of Domination”, written by Quincy President, Andrew Bacevich.

It is unbelievably powerful! I stayed up until midnight that night turning it into a paragraphed, decently-sized and spaced-out message that I could send to you. I did not change any words, I just spaced them and made Bacevich more readable. Then I realized I’d need to get Bacevich’s permission to tamper with his piece! A CCI follower had earlier given me his email address.

Dear CCI Readers,

As 2020 rolls forward, America’s “Paper of Record,” The New York Times, fails in giving us, the American public, accurate information. Young NYT journalists are put out to pasture to write slanted articles from which both the Military Industrial Complex and the current Democratic party will benefit. I’ve always voted Democrat, but this year I ‘wrote in’ my candidate of choice … which of course has no chance of participating in the 2020 election.

Historian David Foglesong writes a biting article below that was printed by The Nation. I feel it needs a broader readership so am reprinting it here. David points out below that this anti-Russia sentiment dates back to 1920 or earlier. Let us ask ourselves: Why is the NYT so Russophobic? Why is our Democratic Party so Russophobic?

This must be tied psychologically to the NYT and America’s perceived sense of Superiority over all other nations and peoples … regardless of existing reality and the costs. This is extremely dangerous in today’s world.
